The Women of RLC Zoom Bible Study will be taking a break for the month of December, but will be beginning a new study in January 2022. And we are having so much fun that we have decided to meet a bit more regularly – the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. beginning January 4.
The study is led by Rev. Wendy Kolakowski and all women (near and far) are invited to join us. Our new study is called The Cup of our Life: a guide to spiritual growth by Joyce Rupp. The author - a well-known writer of numerous bestselling books, international retreat leader, and conference speaker – illustrates how the ordinary cups used each day in our lives can become sacred vessels that connect us with life and bring us into closer union with God. We will explore how a cup is a rich symbol of life, with its emptiness and fullness, its brokenness and flaws, and its many blessings.

The Orphan Collector by Ellen Marie Wiseman
December 4, 9:00 am RLC Library and via zoom
In the fall of 1918, thirteen-year-old German immigrant Pia Lange longs to be far from Philadelphia’s overcrowded slums and the anti-immigrant sentiment that compelled her father to enlist in the U.S. Army. But as her city celebrates the end of war, an even more urgent threat arrives: the Spanish flu. Pia must confront her own shame and fear, risking everything to see justice – and love – triumph at last. Powerful, harrowing, and ultimately exultant.
The Bible Study Group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the church library. They use the monthly Gather magazine's Bible Study as their discussion text. There should be a paper copy of each month's magazine available in the library for the congregation's use.
