In order to reach out, the Women of RLC are offering a Zoom Bible study the first Tuesday evening of every month at 6:30 pm led by Rev. Wendy Kolakowski.
We are studying Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren. The author - a campus minister, Anglican priest, friend, wife and mother - invites us to look at life through the lens of liturgy and connect the moments of an ordinary day with the extraordinary pattern of classical Christian worship. She encourages us to become aware of God's presence in surprising ways during our daily routines as well as challenges us to embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred.

The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
June 5, 9:00 am via zoom
What if the metaphorical Underground Railroad had been an actual…underground railroad, complete with steam locomotive pulling a “dilapidated box car” along a subterranean nexus of steel tracks? Imagine a runaway slave novel written with Joseph Heller’s deadpan voice releasing both Frederick Douglass’ grim realities and H.P. Lovecraft’s rococo fantasies…and that’s when you begin to understand how startlingly original this book is. All women are invited to join in!
Contact Kathy Barrett if you would like to be included in the zoom information.
The Bible Study Group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the church library. They use the monthly Gather magazine's Bible Study as their discussion text. There should be a paper copy of each month's magazine available in the library for the congregation's use.
