Thirty Days is a fun way to pose biblical and theological questions through contemporary literature. All ages can respond to the open ended questions and share their thoughts and stories on Sundays during the Summer.

The Editors of this daily devotional are three generations of faithful women that have all found wisdom, inspiration and spiritual power in contemporary myths such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Black Panther, Narnia and Lord of the Rings. The editors’ encounters and relationships with these stories and their heroes were shaped by their educations in Scripture and a variety of Christian traditions, their locations in diverse living communities, and their explorations of the writings of religious thinkers throughout the centuries and around the world. This volume is an offering of the fruits of their friendship with one another and with God, and an invitation to you to pick up this book and join in their traveling party — as “we embark on journeys to strange lands so we can come to terms with who we are and who we can become” — in faith, in hope, and in love.

"I believe that the books and stories we fall in love with make us who we are, or not to claim too much, the beloved tale becomes a part of the way in which we understand things and make judgements and choices in our daily lives." Judy Fentress-Williams.
