Second Sunday Socials
The summer potluck series will celebrate our 50 years of food! All are invited to our church potlucks after worship on the second Sunday of the summer months for food, fellowship and fun.
Copies of our three cookbooks are on display on the 50th anniversary table in the Narthex. Find a recipe you like? Take a picture and make it for a potluck. At the potluck, we’ll label the dishes and have copies of the recipes hanging on a wall so people can read and take pictures if they liked the dish. (But all foods are welcomed - no obligation to cook from our books for potlucks.)
We have traditionally held activities after potlucks: service projects, bingo, puzzles, hymn sing-a-longs, talent shows, etc.
- On June 9, Daniel Howell – our VBS content creator – will describe his background, development of “Bee-Conomy” and his vision for the fun and insightful week of VBS. A handful of people will be needed after lunch to help sort and count donations for the Lutheran World Relief personal care kits.
- July 14 -- Plastic Free Bingo
- August 11 -- Lunch & Learn with a mini ministry fair to learn about what RLC offers and maybe find a new volunteer gig.
- Our September 8 potluck will be held on our annual day of service, “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday. Sign up here if you’d like to help!
